Gamescom 2022 is just a few weeks away, running from Wednesday, August 24 through Sunday, August 28. The event will be held once again in Cologne, Germany. And once again, Xbox will have a presence there…only this time it will be a live one.
That’s right: Gamescom 2022 will be live and in-person (as well as online for those who can’t attend)! For the first time since 2019, Xbox will be able to have live booth at the event—in Hall 8 of the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre, to be precise. The booth will include 36 stations offering hands-on time with some of the most anticipated games coming to Xbox in the next 12 months.

Did you watch the latest Sonic live-action movie and think to yourself: ‘This is cool and all, but what about a movie like this, but starring Pac-Man from the Pac-Man video game franchise?!’ Well, first off you got a weird brain. Secondly, I got good news for you as it has been reported that the world is indeed getting a live-action Pac-Man film. Hooray? As first reported today by The Hollywood Reporter, Wayfarer Studios is teaming up with Lightbeam Entertainment and Pac-Man owners Bandai Namco to develop a live-action movie based on the popular character who first appeared in 1980 via the arcade smash hit, Pac-Man.

Splatoon 3 Nintendo Direct Coming August 10
Nintendo has just announced another targeted Direct coming on August 10. The next Direct showcase will be all about Splatoon 3, with “roughly 30 minutes of updates.” The Splatoon 3 Direct presentation arrives Wednesday, August 10, at 6 AM PT (9 AM ET). Like the most recent Xenoblade 3 Direct, this presentation will be solely focused on Splatoon 3, with Nintendo likely to unveil the game’s story, characters, and more. There’s already been a lot revealed about Splatoon 3, from the many weapons set to return from previous games to the likelihood that Marina will not be the game’s primary antagonist as many had speculated.

New Tekken 7 Balance Update Coming August 17, Tekken 8 Seemingly Teased
Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that a new Tekken 7 balance update will be released on August 17, 2022.The update will come with various balance adjustments for the cast as well as what looks like a wall stagger mechanic, where you can trip up your opponent when pressuring them. The trailer also confirms that the Tekken World Tour will host its finals in Amsterdam in February 2023.Perhaps the most intriguing part of the trailer however is what appears to be a brief teaser for Tekken 8. We’re treated to Kazuya Mishima’s ending from Tekken 1, where he throws Heihachi off a cliff; this then transitions into a brand new render for Kazuya, who grins at the camera.

Dragon Ball FighterZ PS5, Xbox Series Versions Announced With Rollback
Dragon Ball FighterZ is powering up.During Evo 2022, the largest yearly fighting game tournament, producer Tomoko Hiroki announced that the game will be getting PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Additionally, those two consoles and PC will be receiving rollback netcode, which will help its online play substantially. No details yet on how much these new versions will cost, although Hiroki explained that there will be an upgrade program for those that own the game already on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This useful resource contains data comprising characters, obtained relics, and primeval creatures encountered. The lattermost facet is added to the Notebook when observed via the Monocular, though caution is advised since the device’s range isn’t too distant.
The ‘DEEP IN ABYSS’ gameplay mode where one plays as an original character is briefly discussed, too, reiterating that players will interact with various characters from the source material.

XIII Remake is Coming to Nintendo Switch on September 13
Publisher Microids has announced that XIII Remake will be coming to Nintendo Switch on September 13. Alongside the Switch release date, the publisher has also revealed that owners of the game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be getting a free update. Development on XIII Remake is being handled by French studio Tower Five. Alongside working on a major update for the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game, the studio has also been working on the Switch Port. XIII Remake on PS4, Xbox One, and PC will be getting its online multiplayer mode in the update.
